Kids sure have fun pretending! I think that is why kids will love this book I am illustrating. There will be a yoga pose for every letter of the alphabet! From "The ABC's of Yoga for Kids", written by author and yoga instructor Teresa Anne Power.
Hi there Kate!! I just tagged you from my blog because you are an absolutely a fantastic artist. I love your charming illustrations and I love how it looks effortless yet meticulously done. You're pretty much amazing.
Hey Kate, I like your choice of colors for the shark one and your salt-splattered technique is killer! What cute drawings! I am standing in line for a copy(ies) of the book, just like everyone else! : ) I'm so excited for you!
Your work is AMAZING!!!! I am so very happy to have found your blog!!! You are definitely filling our world with beauty, and making it a better place by touching the minds of our children...our future. Thank you!!!
heh... i like your illustrations always have... my friend has been working on some yoga animations for the past month and that has taken all her time... she's left her classroom project in between and gone to finish the animation... she's been working day and night and she's a nervous wreck... sometime back, she was in my room, scanning some more yoga images, and i was going through your blog... she saw your sketches, looked at me and screamed!! hee hee... was good fun... she thought i was trying to torment her... :)
I am in awe, they are all so beautiful!! It was so great to see you today, sorry I was distracted when I left, I had to make a marathon call, to my friend in OH, who I can also chat with for four hours! I thought by making the time for 3, that it would give us enough time, apparently not! I won't double book next time! Looking at my calendar for December!!
As I attempt to bend over to touch my knees, I'm made acutely aware of how "other worldly" yoga is. Maybe if I had been introduced to it as a child, I wouldn't be the stiff old man I am today. Here's to your attempt to enlighten the young generation. Very nice illustrations!
What a brilliant idea, to always give the children something they can remember the yoga pose by, like the dolphin. Well done, Kate. And yes, let's stay in touch better this year than we did last year. It would be my pleasure.
it's hard to believe the author is self-publishing because I think this will be a blockbuster! I'll bet one of the "big guys" will see this circulating and offer a contract. Sometimes that's how it happens to some of the best- sellers out there! You're doing an amazing job with the pairings and postures. And of course those sweet faces!
I LOVE the shark one specially Kate! Just to draw a shark and have it look so friendly is challenge enough not to mention the pose. I really love it! :o)
Oh..soo beautiful!! Lovely soft colours and awesome illustration! What a great book for childrens! I fall in love with your shark specially. Awesome! =)
