I just received this little sneak preview from Teresa Anne Power, author of "The ABC's of Yoga for Kids"! It is so exciting to see the cover of the book now. It makes it seem all the more real to me....even though I still have so many of the illustrations yet to finish before the book can be published! Watch for more details on how you can pre-order the book in upcoming weeks.
The cover looks great!
ReplyDeleteI am a new readerof your blog, and I am so taken by the wonderful drawings/artwork and your creativity.

ReplyDeleteCool cover. It fits with the theme you have established.
ReplyDeleteThe acorn girl is really cute too.
I also saw that amazing waterfall photo on your flickr slide show. Can you please tell me where that is? It looks like a beautiful place to visit.
Thanks everyone!! It IS very exciting. Now I am just trying to figure out how to get everything done on time. You can't publish a picture book without pictures....ummm..NO pressure! LOL!
ReplyDeleteJosh - that beautiful waterfall is in Alabama. I cannot remember...I was staying in Fort Payne, and this was up in the mountains of course. Maybe Little River Falls? DeSoto Falls? Alabama is so much more beautiful than I thought it would be. It was very relaxing, and I could have snapped photos forever.
I hope to sometime look thru your book mi amiga! I love your style -
ReplyDeleteit's alot like mine! :)

Amazing!! It's so much fun to see your project come together step by step. I like the border they've chosen.( did they choose it?) It's a nice compliment to your illo, which is adorable by the way! This will be one for my collection, for sure :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my illo is acrylic paint with prismacolors on top. It gives a pastel look, for sure!
Thanks Lolo. There is a book designer who chose the border for the cover. She came up with several designs, and Teresa and I liked this one the best. It really is nice that we have such a similar vision about the book....makes it easier working together.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on your technique. Very interesting...I may have to try that myself.
