Wow Kate, what an amazing drawing and a very profound subject. This shows your versatality and range as well. It's astonishing how women could for one second stay in such a situation, but it's even more astonishing that any guy could sleep at night thinking it's alright to act this way.

ReplyDeleteWhat a sad situation that I'm sure many many women have to live through each day. I too have never understood why one would stay, but I've never (THANK GOODNESS) had to deal with that. So who knows how battered your self-esteem gets by that point? Very powerful images...your work is great, includes a variety of styles. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThis illustration is really well done! It is a change from your regular posts, but still very effective! It is sad that some women actually put up with such abusive behavior. I for one do not put up with anything! It's a good thing I think!

ReplyDeleteKate... I hope this is not an everyday event in your home... In my line of work I run into alot of women that stay in relationships like the one this picture suggests and its not worth it.... If you are in a situation like this it best for both of you to end things... I hope your safe...
