Happy Father's Day!
+-+blog.jpg)
Here is a drawing of my father I made when I was 5. In the drawing my dad is whistling, and his desk is in the background, and he is dressed for work. I knew my dad for 22 years, but never really knew him because he worked all the time. I wish I could have lunch with him today. I wonder what we would talk about today.

I hear that...my Dad worked all the time too. I think now how my husband is so available to our daughter and I'm so grateful. Mitch Albom wrote a new book something like Lunch with Mom about conversations with his dead mother. It's a good one.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful drawing!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I bet he would say how blessed he is to have such a wonderful daughter. xoxo
It's so cool you saved this Kathleen! Loved your photos as well!

ReplyDeleteI love kid's drawings. This one is awesome! I don't know my dad at all. But being a dad to a wonderful little girl has really changed my world! I think rrramone (Willie) has it right in his comment above. :)

"It's Refrigerator Worthy!" (That's something I tell my daughter when she brings me her artwork from school.)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rafael! I imagine it probably did hang on my parents' fridge at some point! : ) Thanks Everyone.
