Illustration Friday "Open"

© Kathleen Rietz
This illustration is originially titled "In The Morning Mist". I wanted to convey the freedom and openness that the horse feels taking a morning gallop around the stable in the warm morning sunlight.

  3. Very beautiful, I find horses so hard to draw, especially in movement, and you did a wonderful job capturing him in full gallop.

  11. Lovely piece, great detail of muscle on his hind quarters, as if the sun is just catching him there.
And the soft colours are perfect for that misty morning feeling.
