This one made me smile. I love the dog's shadow ! It's so funny.
I'm sorry I've been over here so little these last times, but I'm trying to cope with a great workload, only things I don't like to do, of course. But I would like to pass on the 'you make my day' award', if you'd accept it. Just have a look at lineanongrata to see how it works. Hearts to Chicago. And your gift is on it's way. Sorry, that took me long, too.
Hi Kathleen...what a wonderful piece...love your creativity...you always think of cool ways to depict the themes on IF...
are you going to watch Super Bowl...?
I have no idea about who's playing but can offer you a nice margarita and the 5th cupcake painting in my series...so pop by for a Super Bowl cocktail...
I visited your website and checked out the new links....very nice! I really liked 'Tranquil Escape' in the surface designs. I actually have some of those 'message' stones around my house...they're so neat and remind me to think positive.
I love the monochromatic style of this one ... conveys evening time really well! Did you use blue toned paper for this? What kind of pencil did you use? I swear Kate, your techniques astound me sometimes. I come away asking, "How'd she do that?!"
i am SUCH a kathleen fan....love love this. reminds me of sendak...sweet simple lines and shapes, tones that speaks volumes for the little scene. effortless.
are you heading to nyc, kate? on friday? how cool it would be to meet you, swap sketchbooks! :)
I love the slingshot in the boy's back pocket appearing as a tail on the "monster"...so clever. Your details are always amazing, I could look at the same piece 10 times and see something new each time. You are a talent!!! Elizabeth
It is a great concept and metaphor. I like the tonal treatment of the colors. Very nice. If you have time, please give me some comments on mine. Thanks in advance.
