hahahahahahahamy cat aways runs when i am spraying the perfume.
Oh Kate, this is such an adorable drawing! You've captured the wonderful moment of childhood that I think we all can relate to! Brilliant!
Hi Kate - I love it! What a princess! And I love the kitty too!
This is sensational! I love the whole feeling of this.
This is wonderful! Love the cat's expression lol:-)
I think this unfortunately follows many women into adulthood. just last week a bunch of women had a meeting in my classroom. When I walked in afterwards, I almost died from the multitude of scents! Anyhow, very well done Kate!
LOL, how true Steve! Makes you want to throw open a window and air out the place!
Hi Kathleen....love your work! so glad you popped by my blog to see my Chicago Style Pizza tribute...I love your city...it is beautiful!!!Have a great day!Cheers,Diana
Such a sweet drawing! Purfume is something I never use. It gives me a headache. So when anyone wears it, it is an excess to me.
I love the way you communicated excess with a relatively simple drawing.
I love the green pumps and the fuzzy scarf !! poor kitty....
She is too presh!! I love you use of color!a : )
So cute!! The cat's reaction tells it all!
The kitty's pose look so cute! :D Beautiful nostalgia too :))
This reminds me of my sister who used to announce her presence with her perfume before she even got into the room. whew! This is a fun illustration for this week's topic.
Beautiful illustration. I really enjoy your artwork!Teresa
Great stuff! Thanks for visiting my blog!I'll be back to yours!
Love this Kate! What a great illo! Love her socks too... he, he and is so true. My daughter does this sometimes. I can smell her from downstairs :o)
I'm so glad I'm a boy. :-)Really cute!!
haha~~the cat looks so innocent!
Hi kate, me bobo again! wanted to share this with you! i wrote this in my blog!"May suggest me to enter my art-piece to Illustration Friday, so I visited the site. I saw a cute cat thumbnail (I can never resist a cat), i clicked in and found a great illustrator, Kathleen Rietz, and ended up sitting there reading her post. Later-on I found I got new comments in my blog, and guess what, one of them is her, Kathleen Rietz. I am so happy to get a lovely comment from a great illustrator like her, thank you thank you very much, I feel great!"
Thanks everyone for your nice coments!Bobo - you are so kind. And talented! Thanks for what you said about me on your blog, and welcome to IF!Rrrramone - yes, we girls are a weird breed, aren't we? ; )
Ha! This is so cute Kate! and so true!! I had to stop wearing perfume when I married my hubby. He's allergic to it.
Poor cat, getting sprinkled with all the falloff!
sweet picture. Poor cat, I love the way it's covering its head.
well i agree with her! haha i think she looks smashing!! lovely work!
Hehehe clever idea, Kate! Great illo as usual!
so true.. (although i never did that!) wonderful illo kate!
That's cute - Little girls are so much fun!
Nice illo. showing a littles girls excess. I like that she is wearing so much perfume that you can see it.
Great idea and beautifully crafted!
I know some old ladies like this too! How funny and perfect! My dog Emma always sneezes when I spritz or spray anything :)
When I was little, I was totally into "over accessorize" LOL!
Kate, some people's illustrations look so "total" that they have their own life- well, yours are like that- this and your "zoo" are really "There"! (does that make sense?)
aaahh, the perfume... and always too much on little girls. They just can't help it.
Hi Kate, this is so true and a lovely illustration! I love the cat hiding.... very nice.
Simply adorable! I admire your skill and humor. Btw, I love your new website - CONGRATS!
