You are getting so dang good at drawing things that people can relate to! The splash of red of the book and dog collar keeps the eye moving about and taking in all your wonderful detail. Just beautiful Kate. :)
I love the little bit of poignant, pink in the dog's snout. Makes me want to kiss his little nose.
I also want to thank you for leading me to that wonderful post about bunnies. What a nice woman, protecting the wee bunny babes. Looks like they'll be getting the boot soon, They can come to my yard if they'd like.
with boys who have been there before...this illustration has so much emotion for me...I hate to see them fail. Also...my little guy (the scientist-in-training) loved your "living gem" post !!
