Absolutely fab Kate! I can totally relate to Aunt Ruth! I have a set of record albums like that! Remember Sgt. Peppers, Debby Boone, Star Wars Soundtrack, Dirty Dancing ... ? LOL Those looks on the girls' faces say it all! Great album cover on the wall, btw! :)!
Wow! This is super super super good kate!! Love it! The grandma is so funny and hip! The girls are adorable, love their hair tips how they curl up like that and how the bird cage complements that too. Wonderful illustration my friend!

Oooh! Don't tell that to my twelve year old daughter. She is a Beatles afficionado, knows more Beatles song than I do. I consider it quite sophisticated of her rather than refined. Your drawings are so adorable. I like ASunt Ruth's clothes.
This is so great for the theme! It's also, painfully true. But it seems like only yesterday (and I believe in yeterday) I was listening to the Beatles on my record player.
I love the looks in the little girls' eyes. Just priceless.
