Grandma is saving those calories for fresh apple pie tonite. Her workout buddies will then become her dessert buddies!
This week's illustration is dedicated to fellow blogger Roberta Baird, whose suggestions made this illustration even bettter!
Another sketchbook entry this week. I would love to start taking my illustrations to color again. But it is nice to have a lot of paying jobs right now. I'll find time for color again. It's just nice to be able to squeeze in some sketching time (even if it is in the middle of the night!).
Keep up the good work! I'm going to check up tons to see all ur

ReplyDeleteI want to say thank you for inspiring me through you wonderful article "The Art of Networking: Why I Blog". I have spent most of my afternoon since reading your article, browsing your blog and illustrations, as well as following many of your links.
ReplyDeleteI am excited about setting up my own blog and networking. You are correct that while technology is great in expanding an artists reach, it does lack the personal connections.
PS I love your mermaid and baby brother illustrations, my top faves... just beautiful!

Thanks for your comments about the bowerbird. I'be be a Mrs. Bower too if I were a bird! And those darn spammer guys keep showing up on my posts as soon as I post it. Ugh! I may have to do these letter things. So annoying, those folks.

ReplyDeleteLovely illustration! The chihuahua helping out is such a nice touch!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about getting your sketching in late at night. Your sketches are so gorgeous on their own. They almost don't need color... but then when you do, oh wow!
ReplyDeleteCute idea, Roberta is right, exercise is best done with friends. Seems a little less like work... and then there is dessert!
Could she save some calories for me too?
ReplyDeleteLovely drawing.
How I love your drawings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful illustration! Nice expressions and a great 'family' feel. It reminds me of the Family Circle cartoons where the humor was situational and pertaining to family life.
